For years, I had dreamed of creating a new chamber music series unlike anything I had ever experienced. The idea was to present music, old and new, with performers of international stature, really nice wine and hors d'oeuvres--together with an informality which invites conversations. Due to some miracle, Delores Stevens, our superb pianist and co-artistic director, liked this idea too. Our mission has been to return the listening experience to its roots--presenting music we love in an intimate venue with stimulating conversations about the music, performances, and instruments. Each evening of classical chamber music ends with jazz improvisation or world music. There are no rules--the key is, this is music we love. I think you will discover unexpected pleasures in each concert evening.
